Walking in the Purpose and Vision God Gave You!
Well HELLO MAY!! Can you believe how fast this year is going? Not only that; if you haven’t heard already, this week is ‘National Small Business Week’. So HAPPY Small Business Week for those that are reading this that are business owners! Just think about how God has catapulted you in your business, or if you’re not a business owner, at your job, or at school! Simply amazing what can happen in just a few short months!
I have to admit, walking in ‘Purpose’ is something that takes faith; but we must work towards what it is God has already ordained for us; for “faith without action is dead”, James 2:14-19, NIV. One thing I have come to realize is that once I said ‘Yes’ to God’s plan, God keeps me uncomfortable in my current situation. Meaning, I’m not becoming “comfortable” or complacent in working for someone else or doing the same thing I’ve “always done”. For those that are not called to entrepreneurship (because everyone is not); when God has called you to do great things, you will not be comfortable with being in a mediocre place. Being comfortable with the ordinary and everyday mundane will not remain your portion. You realize there is more to life than that.
Personally, I’ve come to realize, the vision God gave me is just a peak into what’s to come! The road may not always be easy; yes there are days I feel like I’m spinning my wheels. However, what I’ve learned, those are the times when the breakthrough is coming. So, I encourage you to continue to press on, according to Philippians 3:14, NIV to the vision God has given you.. I’m sure you’ve heard many people say, “where there’s vision, God provides provision”. Well, I would like to share a few scriptures below that talks about, “God’s provision”.
- Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert”, Isaiah 43:19, KJV
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing, Psalms 34:10, NIV
I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it, Psalms 81:10, NIV
Please don’t let another day go by without putting action to what it is God has led you to do. Think about like this, if you “wait until”…..whatever that “until” is, time is going to pass you by anyway, so what are you waiting for? Why sit back and see everyone else move forward in their purpose and vision God gave them? It’s time to move your feet.
